FreeDental guidance in plain language

Dental answers without the jargon, before you book.

Send us what you are trying to work out — a symptom, a quote you do not understand, a procedure you were offered — and a person reads it and writes back in language that makes sense. We are not a dental office and we do not treat.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them is a sales call.

Most dental confusion is not really about teeth. It is about not knowing which question to ask, what a word on a treatment plan means, or whether something can wait. That is the part we handle.

Tell us the question

Describe what you are trying to understand — a symptom, a cost, a procedure, a letter from your insurer.

01

A written reply in plain English, with the specific questions worth putting to a dentist.

03

You book with whoever you like. We do not refer you anywhere and we take no fee for one.

What we cover

Four areas, and the questions people actually ask about them.

All dental topics

Preventive & routine

Cleanings, check-ups, X-rays and gum health. The unglamorous half of dentistry, and the half that decides how much of the other half you ever need.

Cosmetic

Whitening, veneers, bonding and reshaping. We explain what each one actually involves, how long it tends to last, and the questions worth asking first.

Restorative

Fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. What each is for, what the process usually looks like, and what to ask about cost and timing.

Urgent & emergency

Pain, swelling, a broken tooth, a lost filling. How to tell what needs a dentist today from what can wait until Monday — and what to say when you call.

Why people use us

The chair is a bad place to be asking basic questions.

Appointments are short and the vocabulary is unfamiliar. People nod along, agree to a plan they do not fully follow, and then look it up afterwards. Doing the reading first changes the conversation.

We do not treat, refer, or sell.

Dental Care Finder has no dentists on staff, takes no referral fees, and has no financial interest in which practice you choose. That is the point — it is the only way the answer can be straight.

Reviews

What people say after they have used it

Dental Care Finder is new, and these describe the experience we are building toward rather than a queue of verified customers. We will replace them with attributed ones as they arrive.

“Dental Care Finder worked out what my plan actually covered before my appointment. I walked in knowing the number instead of finding it out in the chair.”
Denise W.Tucson, Arizona
“I had a molar that hurt when I drank anything cold and I had no idea whether that was urgent. They explained what the different causes tend to be and what to tell the office. I got seen the same week.”
Andre M.Toledo, Ohio
“I had been putting off asking about veneers because I assumed it was a sales pitch. They just explained the options and what each one costs to maintain. No pressure at all.”
Rosa L.San Antonio, Texas
Common questions

The things people check before they write in.

If your question is not here, the full list is on the FAQ page — and if it is not there either, just ask us.

No. We are an information service. We have no dentists on staff, we cannot examine you, and we do not diagnose or treat anything. We help you understand your options and prepare for the conversation with a dentist who can.

Nothing. There is no fee, no upsell and no paid tier. We do not take referral fees from dental practices either, which is what keeps the answer honest.

No. The phone field is optional, both text-message boxes are optional and neither is pre-ticked. Leave them alone and we will reply by email.

Usually within one working day. If your question suggests something that needs seeing sooner, we will say so in the reply rather than sit on it.

Ask the question you have been putting off.

It is free, a person reads it, and nothing is sold to you afterwards.
