Questions people ask before they write in

What Dental Care Finder is, what it is not, what it costs, and what happens to your details. If yours is not here, ask it.

Still unsure?

A person reads the contact form, and a person answers it.

There is no chatbot and no ticket queue. If the answer to your question is “that depends”, we will tell you what it depends on.

If it is urgent, do not wait for us. Severe pain, facial swelling, bleeding that will not stop, or an injury to the teeth or jaw needs a dentist or an emergency department today.

No. Dental Care Finder is an information and guidance service. We have no dentists on staff, we cannot examine you, and we do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. We help you understand your options and prepare for the conversation with a dentist who can.

Anything you are trying to make sense of: a symptom you are unsure about, a treatment plan you were given, a word on a quote, whether something counts as an emergency, what a procedure usually involves, or what to ask before agreeing to one.

Nothing. There is no fee, no paid tier and no upsell. We also take no referral fees from dental practices, which is what allows the answer to be straight.

Use the Request Information page. Describe what you want to understand, choose how you want us to reply, and submit. If you would rather just send a short message, the contact form does the same job with fewer fields.

Usually within one working day. If what you describe sounds like it needs seeing sooner, the reply will say so plainly rather than wait its turn.

No. The phone field is optional on every form. Both text-message boxes are optional too, neither is pre-ticked, and you can submit without ticking either — we will reply by email instead.

Only what you tick: account and follow-up messages about your request, and marketing messages, consented to separately. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel or HELP for help. Full detail is on the SMS Terms page.

No. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information or your phone number with third parties or affiliates. It is used to respond to you and for nothing else. The Privacy Policy sets out the detail.

We can explain which symptoms commonly need same-day attention and which usually do not, and that is genuinely useful at 9pm on a Sunday. What we cannot do is tell you that your specific situation is or is not an emergency, because that needs someone who can look at it. If you are in severe pain, have facial swelling, or have had an injury, contact a dentist or an emergency department now.

No, and we would not be much use if we did. We take no fee from any practice and have no basis for preferring one. What we will do is tell you what to ask when you call around.

The information service is not tied to a location. Specifics like insurance rules and what an emergency appointment costs do vary by state and by plan, so an answer will say when something depends on where you are.

Email info@dentalcf.com and ask. We confirm in writing once it is done, and we do not require a reason.

Did not find it?

Send the question over. It costs nothing and there is no follow-up sales call.
